Coolanowle Organic Farm

Our Farm is just under a 100 hectares in extent and was converted to Organic in 2001.

The Mulhall Family have been producing beef on the Farm at Coolanowle for generations and have a long history of involvement in the cattle business.The limestone based land is excellent for producing top quality beef off grass

We also keep 130 – 150 ewes that lamb early and Mid-season. Currently all lambs are being used in the meat business. We have approximately 15 hectares of tillage that produces feed for the animals on the farm.

Our newest enterprise on the farm is our organic pig unit. We are currently breeding from 6 sows and are using the offspring in the meat business. Breeds used are saddleback,Glouster old spot and Tamworth. The pigs are kept outdoors and are feed cereals grown on the farm.
